Good morning,
I just got off the phone with the Joyful Rescues secretary. We submitted our application on Tuesday morning, and hadn't heard anything as of this morning. I called because we were hoping to make the trip to pick up Oscar, Bridget or Sophie tonight or tomorrow morning. But the secretary informed me that our application was denied. And now I'm in shock. And my children will be devastated when I tell them.
The secretary informed me that all decisions are final, that I agreed when I submitted my application that you wouldn't have to give a reason if you denied our application, and that there's no one I can call, but that I can send this email, which may be read sometime within the next month. I understand all of that, but I don't understand how you could read about us, and check our references, and not feel that we're suitable. I
think we should be a dream-come-true application for any shelter. I can only think that there's some mix-up somewhere. The wrong box got checked, something... This just makes no sense...
Could someone please contact me? Please? I'd like to be able to explain this to my children, and I just can't right now.
